Remove Old Nail Polish

Before starting any process, first, remove the old nail polish from your foot nail that you used before. You can use nail paint remover, cotton ball/swabs or cotton pads. Again mentioning, carefully perform this task if you have an allergic reaction to the skin. Afterward, wash your leg in the soapy water and dry using a soft towel.

Soak

Soaking is the most relaxing state of a pedicure at home. You should unwind and relax your foot by soaking them in fragrant and warm water regularly and must while pedicure at home or in a salon. Take some warm water in a basin or in your bathtub until it covers your ankles and adds some soap like body wash, hand wash or it can be a dish soap. Then dip your feet into the warm water and wait for 5 minutes. You can read a magazine or scroll facebook for passing the time until the calluses get softer naturally.

File

After soaking your feet while the skins are slightly wet scrub the feet with a foot file. Take a foot file and directly apply to the calluses to remove the dead cells. Take an extra care on the rougher areas on the calluses. Be careful of using the file as extra filing can harm your live skin.

Scrub

A perfect scrubbing can bring a refreshing feel to your feet. You will need 2 cups of granulated sugar, 1/4 to 1/3 cup almond or coconut oil and 6 to 8 drops of lemon essential oil. Mix the sugar with the almond oil in a dry and clean bowl. Then add oil slowly to get the soft and wet-sand consistency. Add the lemon essential oil as much with the mixture as you wish. Apply directly to the feet and wait for 5 minutes before rinse away.

Shape

After scrubbing it’s time to clip and shape your nail. Cut the nail to your preferred length and shape with the clipper. Be careful of not cutting them too short and do not curve the corners. After that with short and quick stocks file the nail across the top and in one direction. Next, apply the nail buffer to buff the tops.

Cuticles

To remove the cuticles first cleanse and rinse the feet. Then treat the toenails with the nail oil. It will soften and help to remove the cuticles easily. Afterwards gently push back the cuticles with a comfortably sized cuticle pusher. Keep the cuticle pusher on the nail place at a 45-degree angle. If you want to use the cuticle nipper that is entirely optional. Use the nipper only if you have the dead skin and hang nails. Don’t use nipper on the live skin or the cuticles that protect the nail bed.

Nail Polish

Now, this is the time to paint your nail. Choose a nail polish of your preferred color. Move from the base to the tip of the nail to apply the polish with smooth stocks same as the manicure. Keep cotton ball dipped in the nail polish remover to fix mistakes. Wait a moment of 10 to 15 minutes to dry the polish. Take help of fan to dry soon.

Top Coat

When the nail polish is dried apply a top coat to make the nail color last longer. It also adds an extra shine to the nails. Wait for 10 minutes to dry out the coat and feel the appearance of a perfect pedicure at home.

My recommendation is to follow all the steps and carefully apply the method. Hope that you will enjoy the full appearance of pedicure and a soft, nice looking foot and nail.
